Finger Millet Idli

Finger millet flour – 2 cups
Black gram dhal – 1 cup
Salt – to taste

Clean black gram dhal and soak for about 4 hours. Grind the dhal. Add finger millet flour, salt and 2 cups of water and mix well. Leave the mixture over night for fermentation. Mix the batter very well. Take an idli maker. Pour spoonsful of batter into idli plates and steam them for about 20 minutes. Serve hot with any pickle or chutney.

Note : the same recipe holds good with little millet flour.
